On behalf of the Governors and Staff of Silverstone Infant School, I would like to offer a warm welcome to all our visitors.

Silverstone Infant School is committed to laying sound educational foundations for each child to enable them to move forward with complete confidence in their own abilities and with an understanding of the needs of others. We promote a thematic approach and endeavour to provide the children with holistic, first hand and engaging experiences where learning is real and related to the child. This was endorsed by Ofsted ( 2005 ) who rated the school as being one of the most successful in England.

Our aims are:

• To provide a happy and stimulating environment where each child’s full potential socially, intellectually, physically, spiritually and morally is recognised and developed through a broad and balanced curriculum.
• To create a sense of belonging to the school and the wider community, a respect for the environment and for the beliefs and feelings of others, nurturing a sense of trust, care and consideration.
• For staff, governors, parents and the community to work in partnership with one another to develop the skills needed to enable the children to become independent learners and responsible members of society.
• To encourage, enjoy and excel together in all aspects of school life.
